It's important for skiers to take responsibility for their own safety and be prepared for a range of scenarios. Education is key when it comes to backcountry skiing and there are many resources available to help skiers understand the risks. A good understanding of the terrain and weather conditions is also essential for a safe and enjoyable backcountry skiing experience.

Responsible Recreation Videos

Jackson Hole’s Travel and Tourism board partnered with Friends of the Bridger-Teton and several local nonprofits to produce a series of videos about responsible recreation on the Bridger-Teton National Forest.
