More than ever, the Teton Backcountry Alliance needs your support!

Here’s why:

  • We can expect even more people skiing the Teton backcountry this coming winter.

  • The Federal Government has reduced funding to USFS and NPS, and JHTTB has reduced its support of ambassador programs.

  • After 20 years of service, Jay Pistono is retiring as the Lead Teton Pass Ambassador.

How to Give: Old Bill’s giving season is now till Sept 12th.

Giving through Old Bill’s adds to your gift with JHCF’s match and automatically makes you a TBCA member.

Expanding Efforts in 2025–2026

  • Teton Pass Free Shuttle – This year, adding Fridays to last year’s Sat & Sun schedule.

  • Teton Pass Backcountry Ambassadors – 20 ambassadors promoting responsible use and addressing trailhead congestion.

  • Snow and Safety Reports – Weekly interviews with avalanche experts posted on Spotify and KHOL.

  • Coal Creek Beacon Park – Practice your search skills with 8 buried transmitters.

  • Free Search Clinics – Three sessions providing basics in beacon use and accident management.

  • Public Events – BBQ & Pistono Celebration (Oct), Teton Tales (Jan), Backcountry Film Fest (March).

  • Advocacy and Public Education – Protecting winter backcountry, conserving wildlife, ensuring sustainable access.

Together, We Make a Difference

TBCA is a small grassroots organization that depends on your support. PLEASE give what you can! Thank you!
